Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Cars

Toyota Supra Twin Turbo
The 1998 Supra has many fans, but it’s hard to find this car on the market, because 1998 was the last year the Toyota Supra was sold in the U.S. (Toyota continued production until 2002 in Japan). Despite a leveling of prices, many found the Supra too expensive, and sales were slow. Up until the summer of 2006, rumors persisted in the Supra fan community that Toyota would introduce a new Supra for 2007 or ’08, but so far none of these rumors have been substantiated.
The 1998 Toyota Supra had a 3.0-liter, six-cylinder engine with 220 horsepower. The turbo came with twin turbochargers and produced 320 horsepower. The non-turbo had a five-speed manual and was also available with a four-speed automatic, whereas turbo models came with a six-speed Getrag transmission or the automatic. For fuel economy, the 1998 Supra got about 17 to 23 miles per gallon.
Drivers love the way the 1998 Supra looks. They also appreciate its combination of speed, power, and Toyota reliability. The car is revered among racing enthusiasts, who find the Supra extremely easy and affordable to modify. However, owners complain that the car’s heaviness makes it slow off the line, and the back seat is essentially unfit for anything but grocery bags. Despite this, the MK 4 Supra has almost a cult following even today, and with production halted for the foreseeable future, these cars are more in demand than ever.
