Usually, a queen size bed, dressing table, a walk-in closet, a comfortable chair and a reading table (optional) are the components of any large master bedroom. Now depending upon the type of your activity, you might have to include a music system, a book shelf or an LCD TV. The headboard of the bed should be kept at the wall that faces the entrance of the room. This should be considered as the focal point of the room and the remaining furniture should be arranged considering the position of the focal point.

Leave some free space for dressing, around the walk-in closet and dressing table, so that the lights can be focused on this area. Large bedrooms allow you a plethora of options in terms of painting and illumination. A large chandelier and a couple of lampshades should suffice the light requirement of a large bedroom. For bedrooms, it is preferable to go for subtle shades or undertones of bright colors. The curtains should be dark, so that the light won't interfere with your sleep. Modern Bedroom Designs

Modern Bedroom Designs
Modern Bedroom Designs

I love to design any bedroom, in modern bedroom designs, the second most important thing, next to a relaxing atmosphere, is the functionality of the room itself. To make a room functional, the needs of the owner need to be carefully considered. How many clothes do they have? How much closet space? Is there a television in the room? How many windows are there? Is there a connected bathroom or does the owner want a vanity table? So many factors need to be considered that owners are often confused and hire an interior decorator to help.

As you could probably guess, the most important part about making a bedroom functional is the bed. A bedroom is designed to relax and sleep in, so choosing the right bed for the room is extremely important. There are many factors involved when choosing a bed, including owner preference, room size, and the design of the rest of the room. Putting a huge bed in a small room makes it feel cramped, but putting a small bed in a large room makes it feel huge. While you may think a bedroom that feels huge would be a good thing, it is not always easy to relax when there is too much space. After the bed is decided upon, clothing storage is the next most important aspect of the room. The dressers must be big enough to store the owner’s clothing, but not so big as to make the room feel cramped. Again, room size and design need to be considered. To make the room modern, the furniture must also be modern, while at the same time being functional. For example, a dresser with faux drawers along with the real ones, while modern, is not the optimal storage space for someone with a lot of clothing.

Modern bedroom designs often try to “hide” closets and television sets, incorporating them into the modern design, while still making them functional. For example, in a modern bedroom with a tropical theme, the closets or the entertainment center which houses the television set may be painted to look like trees, or perhaps the ocean, depending greatly on their design. Why try to hide these things? Maintaining a modern look with a relaxing atmosphere means making sure the design has good use of space. Sometimes in smaller bedrooms, hiding furniture in this way is done to help make the space feel bigger.

Here is ones more, the post about modern bedroom design, If you enjoy flipping through décor magazines to keep up with the latest trend in bedroom design, you must already be aware of modem bedroom theme. Modern bedrooms are a unique way of breathing life into your bedroom. Let’s take a look at some of the most important modern bedroom design elements that can help you replicate the magazine look. Color – bedrooms use only one or two solid colors to lend a smooth and sophisticated look.

The favored colors today are browns and white. The classic black and white combination, of course never goes out of style. Whether it’s your modern bedroom furniture or chairs, or then maybe it’s your modern vanity tables, using black or chocolate brown or the brown in different dark hues will really enhance the ‘modern’ appeal of your bedroom. Besides, these colors go really well with most modern bedroom furniture sets and they also manage to give your room a nice, earthy, warm feel. Pattern – Rugs and carpets are an important element in bedroom décor.

However, don’t go in for ones that have fancy patterns. Instead, buy rugs or small carpets in solid colors and interesting patterns – think geometric! Rugs in different textures can also add a touch of drama to the entire space. Furniture – Keep it stark and simple. Furniture in simple and clean lines is the hallmark of modern bedroom design. The darker the shades of wood, the better the style adaptation! Enhance the overall appearance by using modern bedroom furniture in rectangular or square shapes. Avoid circular shapes! Brushed metal and real wood look is really in. Try it. Lights – Set the mood in your modern bedroom with mood reflecting lights.

Go for flexible lighting fixtures. Use bright light during the night and dreamy romantic, subtle light during the night to set the mood for some fun and ‘games!’ Again, light fixtures should be in clean lines, simple designs and should match the color combination of the room. Accessories – Less is more! That’s the mantra of modern bedroom décor. Keep the accessories to the bear minimum and maintain the silhouette. Mattress, bedroom chairs, bedroom curtains, and bedroom embellishments should all combine together to enhance the look and appeal of the room while working hard to create a elegant, sophisticated, yet comfortable atmosphere in the room. Experiment with tall glass vases and single flower (Artificial or real).

You can also use a single photo frame with an eye catching modern art painting or print. Avoid ornate or frilly stuff in your modern bedroom at all costs. Finally, the idea is to maximize the available space and modern bedroom theme aims to do just that. That’s why in trend bedrooms have closets inside the room space rather than as a separate area. Besides this, having a specific space for each item such as shoes, clothes, cosmetics, books, etc to make the room look more organized is part of the bedroom decorating style. Use these modern bedroom tips to breathe life into your old bedroom and feel the difference!
