The Four Dhams (Holy Shrines) Of Biking

In this post of mine, I'm going to express a real personal feeling of mine regarding the places where I feel a biker can be closest to Biking Nirvana. These places offer a unique experience both in terms of their in-house motorcycles & the places where these machines can take you.

So let the journey begin .....................

1. JAPAN - The land of the Rising Sun, the sushi land & for me, the land of the SUPERBIKES.
Ask anyone enthusiastic about bikes and he/she will talk Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki & Honda & this is how it's meant to be. The most memorable as well as ground breaking bikes have rolled out of Japanese manufacturing lines.
The CBR1100XX, CBR1000RR Fireblade, Goldwing, Cub
from Honda;

The Hayabusa, GSX750R, TL1000S from Suzuki;
The ZX11R, ZX10R, ZX14R from Kawasaki &
The R1, V-Max, Fazer from Yamaha have gained a cult following. Not to mention their respective MotoGP racing prototypes & concepts too have bikers swearing in their names.

Moreover their powerful racing technology has found it's way into the engines powering their cruisers.
Remarkable ....... Isn't it ????

The country's even got some great roads and tracks to test the power of their machines !!!!!

2. EUROPE - EXOTIC !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only word that comes to mind when one talks of the European bikes. Talk of Ducati, Bimota, Moto Guzzi, MV Agusta & to be on the better financial side, Triumph.
These bikes have always upped the ante in the premium motorcycles segment. Where the Japanese bikes are generally an affordable lot, motorcycles from Italian marquee, Ducati, MV & Bimota can only be afforded by bikers with thousands of $ to spare.

The region's also boasts of numerous twisties to offer to bikers and superb scenic roads through the Alps.

These places are truly a paradise to ride through !!!

3. USA - Laid back, relaxed power cruiser is what this country boasts of. Talk of Harley Davidson, Victory & even the radical Boss Hoss BHC.

So just hop on your ride & go on to explore what the country offers !! The Grand Canyon, the twisties through Rockies, sunny beaches & even the quiet and sometimes eerie country side.

Even some of the best bike fests like Sturgis Rally, Biketober Fest & Daytona Beach Bike Week are local too.

4. INDIA - Many won't agree to it & I can already see that "what the...duh?" expression on your faces but, it sure is. Just ask yourself, where on earth would you find puny 100cc commuter machines (read Hero Honda Splendour) with nothing to boast of co-exist with 150cc state-of-the-art racing machine (read Yamaha R15).

The country even houses some radical motorcycle houses like Bajaj & TVS, who are into international collaborations and have successfully brought modern, big bike technology into smaller capacity, single cylinder engines manufactured indigenously.

The touring scenario too has undergone radical shift with bikers revisiting, as well as discovering virgin beauty of the Indian landscape which is home to sky high mountains, wet ghats, desert rainforests among others.
So there's far more reasons just to say .....................
Incredible India
!!!!!!!!!!!!
