MotoGP Catalunya

Lorenzo won the 3rd consequetive race of the 2010 season of MotoGP with some 7 seconds lead over fellow Spaniard Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda), followed by Casey Stoner on his Ducati.
The race definitely saw Casey struggling with his bike's rear end problems which seem to have become a perennial problem for the aussie. Nonetheless it was really brave of him to attack both front-running Lorenzo & Andrea Dovizioso at once, unfrotunately his rear skidded & ran wide.
Dovizioso's luck battered him when, with 10 laps to go he crashed highside.
Randy dePuniet & LCR Honda Team had their best results so far, finishing 4th.
Alvaro Bautista ran a great race ending with 5th position, amidst cheers from his Rizla Suzuki Team.
Marco Simoncelli (San Carlo Honda Gresini) crashed out when in sixth as he chased his best premier class finish to date.
Espargaró suffered disappointment in his home race when he crashed out on lap six.

Ben Spies (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) continued his progress with sixth place on another new circuit, and Loris Capirossi (Rizla Suzuki), Nicky Hayden (Ducati Team), Marco Melandri (San Carlo Honda Gresini Team) – on his return from a dislocated shoulder – and Héctor Barberá (Páginas Amarillas Aspar) all finished inside the top ten, with Dovizioso eventually finishing 14th.

Lorenzo now has 165 points with Pedrosa on 113 in second. Dovizioso remains third and is on 91, with Hayden, De Puniet and Stoner all leapfrogging the absent Valentino Rossi to fill positions four to six.
