Hi
i am in a small problem and it would be great if someone could help me out.
i came in us on f1 visa in jan2008 and i completed my mba in dec 2010. my opt expired on 31st march 2010. but before my SEVIS could expire i transfered my SEVIES to new college for summer term. now my visa is for 5 years ending on jan 2013. i know as long as i stay in US i am maintaining my status. but now i need to go home for few days. So how is it going to wrok for me? Do i need to go for new visa stamping or can i come back on same visa ? if i need to get new visa can i get it done in US before going home ? What are my option and what are my chances of coming back?

I am traveling to India after long time. The airline reservation requires me to provide my green card number. Can anyone tell me what that is? Is it A# number?
I tried entering the 9 digits of A# number on the airline website without a success, what is a right syntax?
AXXX-XXX-XXX or XXXXXXXXX without using �-�
I don�t want to submit wrong information.
Also, is it possible to provide this information at Check-In and not to worry about it now?

I am planning to apply for my EAD/AP renewal. This would be my 4th EAD/AP application, but this is the first time I am planning to e-file.
My I-485 was filed with VSC but later got transfered to TSC. While my wife's I-485 is transfered to Newark, NJ USCIS local office. Given this situation where should be the supporting documents be sent ?
1) VSC: since all my previous EAD/AP were applied there
2) TSC: since my case is currently pending here.
3) what @ my wife's EAD/AP renewal? here case is pending at local USCIS office.

I have question , How long it will take after submitting the evidence . I have received RFE on Jan 15 and submitted 03/25/2008 and I have seen LUD 03/27/2008 .
How long they will take time to decide the case?

Here is my scenario...
1. Applied my first EAD thru some lawyer (hence G-28)
2. I am planning to renew it on "my own"
Can I renew EAD without Attroney help... I know the answer "YES" but the main question is... do I need to inform USCIS saying that I want to withdraw my lawyer's and hence G-28 which was filed along with my first EAD?
If anyone are sucessful, please help me...My question is not on how to self apply EAD..My question is whether we need to inform USCIS about G-28...

All,
My 485 was filed during the Jul 07 fiasco. My 485 online status became " fingerprinting fee has not been received and case will resume only after we get....". We even got a letter from uscis in oct 07 about this.
However we got a letter from USCIS again in Nov 07 that it was an error on their part and asked us to ignore the letter.
However the online staus remain the same.
Fingerprinting was done in sep 07, got couple of EAD's and AP's as well.
I have travelled once in AP and no issues.
Is there anybody else with the same situation?
Should i call the customer service and enquire?
Please advise.

If Company B have applied change of status, You status become H1B as soon as that petition approves. In that case, you need to work for comany B on H1B status and can't continue working on L1.
Once you go out of country, you have choice of using either L1(if not expired)/H1B. If you have already done stamping for L1 visa, you don't need to stamp again. You need employer letter from L1 Employer.

I have I-140 approved(ABC company) and have 5 months left in my first 6 year cycle. I was laid off from the job. A New employer XYZ applied for my H1B extension based on I-140 approval and got approved for 3 years.But I was unable to join
XYZ due to family situation and moved back to India.
Questions:
1. Can a new employer apply for H1B extension based on my I-140 approval even though I am not in USA.? My I-140 has not been revoked or cancelled.
or
2.Can I claim the remaining time on my H1B approval(based on I-140) with company XYZ ?I have copy of the H1B approval but not sure if it has been revoked.
Please advice.

My Wife is planning to go for COS H1B to L2(i am on L1) due to the Job market.As suggested by a person in the forum i am planning to file COS E-filing from H1B to L2 and EAD while in USA.
So My Query is
1) Do we need to wait for L2 to be approved before she can leave the country ?? Or just we file L2 and EAD and she leaving country and come back on L2 with stamp once it is approved(i would like to send L2 Approval by Post)
2) What is the process of L2 Stamping in India after recieving approval notice (what are the documents needed) and how long does it take
3)Will above process effect her EAD progress ??
