Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India (HMSI) has planned to launch the radical new VFR1200F in India by the year end.The bike features Dual Clutch Transmission or DCT, common on many cars but first for a motorcycle. It has 2 clutch, the first controlling odd gears & second cotrolling even gears. The advantage : far smoother gear shifts !!
The only negative aspect being the manual transmission model being launched. Honda is said to have argued that the automatic version would cost a fortune in the Indian market.
Hope these guys do check the sales chart of Yamaha V-Max & Harley-Davidson Custom Electra Glide which sell for 28 lakhs & 35 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
